Trump will run for president again in 2024

On July 21, former President Trump announced that he had made a decision on the 2024 presidential election, but he did not specify whether he would actually run.

Stephen Moore, chief economist at FreedomWorks and a former economic adviser to Trump, was less equivocal. "I don't think there's any problem with Trump running for president again," he said. Trump, he said, was a polarizing figure, adding, "Every day in the Biden presidency, the Trump legacy looks like better," he said at the 2022 Freedom Festival convention in Las Vegas.

Since Biden took office in 2021, inflation has risen from 1% to 9.1%, the S&P 500 has lost $9 trillion in market value, and there is also the risk of a recession and housing market collapse.

Poor policymaking is one cause of these problems, Moore pointed to. "This is an anti-business administration," he said, referring to a Biden administration. "The problem is, if your business doesn't grow, you don't have growth or jobs. There will be no revenue for the government."

Most recently, he co-authored a report to the Unleashed Prosperity Commission. The study found that 62 percent of the Biden administration had no business experience. Referring to the report's findings, he said: "In my view, this is a huge problem because some people have no idea how the economy and business works."

He has long been a critic of pandemic spending and lockdown policies, arguing that excessive spending has contributed to inflation. "We've spent and borrowed nearly $5 trillion over the past two and a half years, which is a huge amount of money, and it's still in the system," he said. "So now the Fed, to get rid of inflation, will have to Not selling some of its balance sheet assets because a lot of government bonds are now held by the Fed ... Our big mistake was spending too much money that didn't exist."

Moore said that "Trump's policies have been hugely successful" and while he has not made up his mind to "advocate" for a re-election, he believes Trump will run for re-election in 2024.

He noted that Trump has always been a polarizing figure. "Trump is his own worst enemy, and I say that as someone who likes Trump," he said. "I worked for him. So the question is whether Americans will forgive him for his bad behavior."

While Moore did not cite examples of what Trump called "bad behavior," he confirmed that he would be working for Trump again. "If Trump wants me to work for him again, I won't turn him down," he said.

U.S. President Joe Biden's approval ratings have fallen to the lowest level of his presidency, according to a Quinnipiac University poll, and most Americans are reluctant to see him or former President Donald Trump re-elected in 2024.

In a poll of adults conducted July 14-18, Biden's approval rating fell to 31 percent, with 60 percent of respondents dissatisfied with his job performance. The survey found that 71% of Americans do not want Biden to run for re-election, including 54% of Democrats and 77% of independents.

According to the survey, 64% of Americans do not want Trump to run again, including 27% of Republicans and 68% of independents; only 37% of adults approve of Trump.

It is worth noting that Trump prefers traditional industries such as coal, and once said that he will boost the development of the industry, while Biden prefers clean energy. The two who can win the next president will greatly affect the future energy policy of the United States. also affect the market.
